AI, GDPR, ROI&#8230; So, you may have stumbled upon ESG, a term that has been mentioned more and more often in the business world in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is ESG?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ESG is an acronym created from three English words: Environmental, Social and Governance (i.e. the values that are imposed as the main criteria for judging how much a company is keeping up with the times (of course, while doing well in a business sense).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The idea behind ESG is the following \u2013 the era of wild capitalism minds exclusively about profits (most often of directors, stakeholders and the like) is over, long live the era in which companies give back part of their profits to society!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this mindset, companies have a responsibility to help their local communities, make their business more sustainable, show workers that they truly care about them and not just see them as serfs of the 21st century. However, those who have money often develop a great and true love for it and do not like to part with it. Especially not because of things like \u2018caring for the environment\u2019, \u2018social justice\u2019 or \u2018worker satisfaction\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Does the term <a href=\"https:\/\/ctakomunikacije.hr\/en\/consumers-want-sustainability-but-they-need-to-start-with-themselves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">greenwashing&nbsp;<\/a>or false advertising of environmental care to please customers\/clients sound familiar to you? To address this, the Western world has begun to introduce a clearer legal framework to separate the wheat from the chaff and reward those who truly care about sustainable business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.efrag.org\/lab6?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">European Union in 2023 brought and adopted the first set of ESRS&nbsp;<\/a>(European Sustainability Reporting Standards) in which the standards for reporting on the environmental, social and governance aspects of companies&#8217; operations are announced in detail. And surprisingly, this regulation will come into force soon \u2013 from 2025, ESG reports will have to be written by all large companies with over 500 employees, and from 2027 by all small and medium-sized enterprises!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ESG is on its way \u2013 help!<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>OK, do not panic. &#8220;Let us explain in more detail what is actually required of you when writing an ESG report, i.e., what exactly you need to take care of. The criteria are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Environmental<\/em> \u2013 Preparedness and fight against climate change; Greenhouse gas emissions; Climate and environmental risk management; Environmental pollution and resource use; Biodiversity conservation; Ensuring access to water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Social <\/em>\u2013 Protection of human rights; Protection of workers&#8217; rights; Taking care of health and safety; Responsibility to customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Governance <\/em>\u2013 Transparency in governance; The structure and type of internal acts; Fight against corruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stakeholders are then informed about these topics in ESG reports that will come soon. From 2023, it is possible to fill out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hgk.hr\/documents\/esg-rating-upitniksecured64ba284879dda.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">&nbsp;ESG rating questionnaire<\/a> on the website of the Croatian Chamber of Economy (CCE) to see your position and how you list among similar companies.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/hgk.hr\/po-prvi-put-dodijeljene-nagrade-esg-rating-hgk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Last year, for the first time, the Croatian Chamber of Economy also awarded prizes to sustainable companies that achieved the best results<\/a>. If worrying about the future of the planet is not enough for you, there is always an additional motivation in terms of professional recognition \u2013 a good word is heard far and wide!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"726\" src=\"https:\/\/ctakomunikacije.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Dizajn-bez-naslova-17-1-1024x726-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1301\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where does this leave us?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Okay, you made all your employees rinse their yogurt cups and waste separate properly, you bought electric vehicles so that you do not produce a single molecule of CO2, everyone makes decisions and your company is an ideal example of positive change in the 21st century. All you have to do is put it on paper (or .pdf &#8211; you are, after all, an aware individual). And that is where we can help you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you do not have a separate communication team and are not skilled in writing, or you simply do not have time to sit down and type it, it is best to contact professionals who have written pages and pages of various documents and reports. We often come into contact with clients who do truly great things, but unfortunately fail to present them to others in a simple and understandable way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a little imagination, <a href=\"https:\/\/ctakomunikacije.hr\/en\/why-visual-content-is-so-important-in-pr-campaigns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a few creative design solutions and an understanding of the topic<\/a>, an ESG report can be a document you can truly boast of. After all, it does not have to be huge, an effective PowerPoint presentation is enough to present your work in a few minutes. There are numerous examples, and we are here to guide and help you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, we also have bad news \u2013 if you are reading this article and urgently need an ESG report, and you have not done anything about it in the last year&#8230; We can hardly help you.
