Lara began her education at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb, where she completed undergraduate and graduate studies in journalism. During her studies, she was actively involved as a member of the Diplomatic Club of FPZG, she was an active member of the Diplomatic Club at the Faculty, contributing to the organization of various panels and conferences as part of the marketing and PR team. She wrote her first journalistic articles for the student newspaper Global, later transitioning to managing the publication’s social media presence.
She describes herself as creative and communicative, qualities that she believes make her stand out in public relations, while political communication remains her favorite topic for methodological research. In 2021, she defended her thesis, “The Political Communication of Zoran Milanović on Social Media During His First Year in Office,” under the mentorship of Associate Professor Marijana Grbeša-Zenzerović, Ph.D.
Lara took her first ‘official’ PR steps at the agency Komunikacijski laboratorij, but she soon became an intern of the Robert Schuman program at the Office of the European Parliament in Zagreb. While her current goal is to gain as much experience as possible in an agency setting, she aspires to return to working for a European Union institution in the future.
