Even when Vojko V sent us the early drafts of the song, we had a feeling it was going to be a hit—our heads naturally went straight into “headbang mode.” A hundred thousand YouTube views later (plus another 70,000 on Facebook and Instagram), it’s safe to say our instincts didn’t steer us wrong.
“Separate” has become the talk of Split, sung by everyone from kids to the club crowd. If those same partygoers toss their bottles into the proper semi-underground container on their way home, we’ll take that as at least partial proof of the song’s impact.
The informational campaign on waste separation and the introduction of semi-underground containers in Split is still going strong and goes far beyond the song itself. However, the success and reception of “Separte” showcase what’s possible when expertise, creativity, and forward-thinking clients come together—kudos to Čistoća Split and the City of Split for making it happen.
