Čistoća d.o.o. Split continued the campaign “Separate, it’s easy” with the Zero Waste Festival. Held last Saturday under the shade of Đardin’s trees, the one-day festival promoted sustainable waste management by emphasizing waste reduction and the reuse of items and food. The event adhered to strict eco-friendly principles, aiming to minimize waste production. To support this, the festival provided plenty of sorting bins, eco-friendly utensils, and demonstrations of household waste reduction techniques.
The zero waste culinary show was led by former Masterchef finalist Gorana Milaković, in collaboration with the Gastro Academy from Garešnica. The dishes prepared were part of the festival’s charitable component, as Split residents could taste them in exchange for symbolic donations to the Juraj Bonači Center for Education and Training. Attendees eagerly embraced the opportunity to properly dispose of textiles and footwear, filling two designated containers. Each contribution of clothing earned donors a voucher for a zero-waste meal.
The festival also showcased sustainable living through pop-up shops by Split-based second-hand stores, EIE Vintage Shop and Mishka Boutique. For children, there was an engaging workshop, “Create a Flower for a Better World,” teaching proper waste separation in a fun and interactive way.

Čistoća d.o.o. Split participated with an informational booth where employees, joined by director Ivica Karoglan and Split Mayor Ivica Puljak, answered residents’ questions about the city’s new waste management system. Visitors also received free bags for separating bio-waste, paper, and plastic, as well as campaign-themed promotional items like magnets, reusable tote bags, and educational brochures.

The campaign “Separate, it’s easy” was created in collaboration between Čistoća d.o.o. Split and the City of Split, with the aim of improving the waste management process. The initiative includes the installation of semi-underground containers across Split neighborhoods and citizen education to encourage consistent participation in the waste management system, contributing to a cleaner and tidier city.
