As expected, Meta is committed to improving the user experience through the integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) on its leading platforms.
However, it is only through the efforts of Alessandro Paluzzi, a developer who tirelessly researches the code of applications in search of undiscovered functions, that we gain valuable insight into the characteristics that potentially await us in the future.
When you need a conversation, there is the chatbot – your new friend
As early as next month, Meta’s platforms, Facebook and Instagram, could be enriched with new members – advanced chatbots equipped with a variety of AI personas.
Created with the vision of providing answers to questions, helpful advice, assistance in composing messages and facilitating navigation through the platform, they will be able, if the allegations are true, to communicate in the style of Abraham Lincoln, share recommendations for travel ‘surfer’ style and embrace as many as 28 additional personalities.

Snapchat made a similar move in February this year with the My AI option. The function allows users to interact with artificial intelligence, providing them with tips on the perfect gifts for girlfriends, and even guidance on how to skilfully lie to parents about traveling with an 18-year-older man.
Of course, the feature has caused feelings of concern – both among parents who are apprehensive about their children’s activities on the platform, and among users themselves who perceive the realistic nature of the feature as intimidating.
However, Meta believes that chatbots willdrive significantly higher engagement among users. Overall, they have the potential to collect large amounts of data, which could help Meta target users more precisely with relevant ads and make the public even more concerned about their privacy.
At the same time, the question arises whether younger generations will develop an emotional connection with virtual entities on social networks, considering them friends with whom they will share intimate aspects of everyday life.
Do not know your writing style? The AI knows!
One of the additional features that Instagram is considering is the ability to generate comments through artificial intelligence. Of course, in order for the AI to learn the speech patterns of each individual user, they will have to search through previous comments and post history.

AI as a possible salvation in game of horror called group conversation
Surely we have all found ourselves at least once in a situation of ending up in a group conversation receiving hundreds of messages within an hour, looking for someone who would briefly type what it is all about. It seems that in the future artificial intelligence will be able to provide us with this summary.

However, the question is whether it will successfully decipher hieroglyphs from messages, typos and incidental information in order to be able to truly extract the important message – sometimes even we ourselves fail.
Clicking to AI stickers and erasing unwanted details from photos
Another feature that could see the light of day are AI stickers that can be used within the Stories) and in your inbox.
All you have to do is enter a specific phrase, and the AI will create a unique and personalized sticker accordingly. After that, users will have the opportunity to share it with each other, further encouraging engagement and interactions on the platform.

In addition to helping create completely new visuals, artificial intelligence will also make it easier to edit existing ones. With all the effects offered on Instagram and editing options, it seems that there will finally be a function that will allow you to easily remove or replace unwanted objects from photos. This will finally enable us able to say goodbye to Canva, Photoshop and questionable platforms for removing objects from images.

Nothing happens without transparency!
Artificial intelligence will gradually permeate every aspect of Instagram, allowing commenting, storytelling, and editing on a whole new level. But as this technology grows, so does the need for clarity and openness.
Following in TikTok’s footsteps, Instagram plans to introduce tags that will clearly mark AI-generated images, giving users insight into their origins.

While it will be able to recognize content generated by Meta’s AI tools, the question remains whether it will recognize AI content generated by other apps.
