As many as two campaigns that have helped the most vulnerable groups of our society have been placed at the very top of excellence by the international jury of this year’s edition of the world’s most important public relations award, the Golden World Awards for Excellence of the International Public Relations Association – IPRA.The campaigns carried out by CTA komunikacije in cooperation with Brač mountaineers Ranko Dragičević and Daniel Lončar, ‘1100 kilometres for 1100 therapies’  for the Parents’ Association of Children with Disabilities Brački pupoljci” has won in the category of non-governmental organizations, while the venture of marathon runner Kristijan Sindik ‘Golden Ribbon – 7 marathons in 7 days‘ has been awarded in the category of event organization.

The charity action “1100 kilometres for 1100 therapies” was a very challenging mountaineering endeavour in which Ranko Dragičević and Daniel Lončar walked as much as 1100 kilometres of the most demanding Croatian hiking route “Via Adriatica” in 49 days. Walking in the harsh conditions of the largest and longest Croatian mountains, they focused their attention on the daily struggle of the Association of Parents of Children with Developmental Disabilities “Brački pupoljci” and appealed to citizens to donate funds to Brač children. In the end, HRK 168,800 was collected, and this year the campaign has already been awarded the Golden Grand PRix of the Croatian Public Relations Association.

This is the second Golden World Awards for Brački pupoljci in cooperation with our team, which shows that one small group can make big changes that are recognizable on a global level. Every communication expert can and must use their knowledge for good, and such global recognitions are just an additional motivation for that. Thank you to Ranko and Daniel, the brave parents from the Brački pupoljci Association and the entire CTA komunikacije team who have woven their hearts into another project – said Valentina Mezdić, our junior communication consultant who is also the team leader of the “1100 kilometres for 1100 therapies” campaign.

The Golden Ribbon – 7 marathons in 7 days project was designed on the initiative of marathon runner Kristijan Sindik. Having run 295 kilometres from Split to Tivat in the Bay of Kotor from 4 to 10 February 2021, he managed to raise as much as HRK 212,664.00 for the purchase of volumetric infusion pumps, as well as additional equipment for the treatment of the youngest patients at the Department of Pediatric Oncology of the University Hospital Centre of Split. Each individual route consisted in the length of one marathon – 42 km. All those interested could join Kristijan’s marathons, as well as buy kilometres.

– Golden Ribbon – 7 marathons in 7 days is a charity event with which we tried to stand up for the most vulnerable groups in society. With the help of a large number of people from Croatia, but also from the rest of the world, the action touched many and we succeeded in our plan. For us, this campaign became a winner at the moment when the last kilometre was covered for the children of Split, and by winning the IPRA communication award, we received confirmation from the profession that it is truly one of the best in the world – said Petar Tanta, director of CTA communications and team leader on the project “Golden Ribbon – 7 marathons in 7 days”.

In addition to the already mentioned individuals, Mirjana Nižetić, Dijana Šabić, Mate Mladina, Gina Victoria Damjanović, Gordan TurkovićVelimir Hlupić and Hana Kajari also worked on the awarded charity campaigns. After winning the first IPRA award  two years ago with the campaign ‘This truly matters‘, this is the second and third Golden World Awards in just three and a half years of existence of our agency, which strives to promote the values it believes in through its daily work.

The Golden World Award for Excellence is the most important award in the world of public relations, awarded since 1990 by the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), promoting excellence and ethics in public relations.
