“We are extremely pleased that we managed to popularize the socially important topic of waste separation in a fun and educational way suitable for all age groups. The task was not easy, but the video — created in collaboration with the Split-born rapper Vojko V — became a hit not only in Split but also gained national attention. BalCannes is traditionally the most prestigious regional marketing competition, and we are very proud that ‘Odvoji, lako je (Separate, It Is Easy)’ won two silver awards. The IdejaX and MIXX awards confirm that our campaign was both seen and embraced across all of Croatia. The campaign won two silver BalCannes awards in the categories Positive Change Mosaic: Green Impact and Market Mosaic: Miscellaneous. At IdejaX, “Odvoji, lako je” received a silver statue in the Best of Positive Change: Nature category. The campaign also stood out as the main winner of the MIXX award in the Cross-Media Integration Campaign category, which recognizes projects that successfully combine online and offline media into a unified whole to achieve a set goal.
„Separate, it’s easy“ is an informative campaign, aiming to educate citizens about the new waste separation system using semi-underground containers in the city of Split. Although the video Separate is just one part of the overall campaign, due to overwhelmingly positive public reactions, the characters from the video became part of Split’s graffiti scene in Vukovarska Street. The campaign’s authentic content was also recognized by experts at the Greencajt festival. The entire integrated campaign stood out with its original concept and execution, effectively connecting its online and offline components.
The award-winning content was developed on the concept and strategy of the CTA team consisting of Nina Sivić-Cug, Lara Paša, Ana-Marija Crnica Živković, Hana Kajari, Marin Zdelar, Petar Tanta and Gordan Turković. The lyrics and music were created by Vojko V, animation was done by Sara Bernat, design by 2Dizajnera, while camera work and production were carried out by DD Video Lab.
